Not many new resources surfaced over the weekend and I was out of town without Internet connection so no time to dig up overlooked gems. Here’s two cat related posts to kick start your week.
Feral Cat AddOn
Karthis from Of Teeth and Claws has been trying out various AddOns to find one that accurately and easily tracks all the buffs and debuffs cat druids need to be aware of for maximum DPS output. Not only does he highly recommend RoguePowerBars, he also provides a tutorial on its set up. Be sure to check the comments in that post if you are having trouble getting the AddOn to work.
Is Cat Swipe OP?
Druid Kitty takes the new Cat AE attack Swipe for a test run into Naxxramas and clocks 12,000 dps. Will it get nerfed? DK looks at the talents to maximize Swipe’s effectiveness and explores the nerf issue.

New Raid Healing column
Matticus of the healer mega-blog World of Matticus and the new healer forums PlusHeal has restarted the Healer Raiding advice column on WoW Insider, Raid Rx. Check out the first column Are you ready to be healer leader? For more Druid Raiding goodness, check out his Healing Assignments for Resto Druids article.

Target Stats for Raiding Druids
Raine of Orbital Bombardment warns against running into Naxx the day you ding 80. But when are you ready to dip your toe into Wrath raiding? Raine provides target stats for all druid specs: Restoration, Feral Cat, Bear Tank and Balance/Moonkin.
More Pawn Love
Dave and Passport to Shandris provides tools to evaluate gear for Restoration and Moonkin Druids. He mentions WoWHead, spreadsheets and, my personal favorite, scales to use for the Pawn AddOn that allows for comparing gear while in-game.

Moonkin PvP advice
Macbook at Moonkin.info has some tips for Moonkin starting PvP (3v3 Arena to be precise.) He admits to be no expert, but his beginner tips are sound.
Moonkin Head meta-gemming debate
Graylo at Gray Matter takes slight umbrage with Allison Robert’s pre-Naxx Moonkin Gear Guide. Specifically with her head slot gem choices. He goes into detail why including lots of math and, fortunately, a TLDR version of his argument at the end of his entry as well.
Dreamstate Resto spec viability
Althura of OneHotNelf is trying the 28/0/43 Dreamstate Resto build. Is the loss of key healing talents (including Wild Growth) worth the extra 100mp5? She debates the tradeoff.
Cat/Bear Raiding viability
Kalon at ThinkTank theorized the cat/bear hybrid spec and its viability in raid scenarios for the Druid to be an effective offtank *and* a face-ripping dpser. Today he put it to the test and ran Naxx-25 with it. Check out his blog for the eye-popping results.

Raff at Druid Heal! covers food and potions for Resto (and Balance) Druids in Wrath.
Polearms and 2-Handed Maces for Feral Druids
The Gaming Diva covers the basics of polearms now that Druids can use them. She also lists a few to look out for.
Unbearably HoT also gets in on the action, listing polearms and 2-handed maces. But this article goes much deeper with a list of the top weapons from each category and an analysis of which one is best for you (and it may not be the one you think.)
Healing AddOn tutorial
Keeva at Tree Bark Jacket follows up her HoT tutorial for Grid post from awhile back with a new one that explains how to set up other aspects of the popular healing AddOn.
Feral off-tanking gear guide
Kalon at ThinkTank delves into the possibilities of being a servicable tank in cat gear and doing great dps in bear gear. He surmises that cat and bear gear are now pretty much identical with the exception of you how gem/enchant it and he comes up with a dream list of gear that can make you the ideal off tank candidate for almost any raid.

I’ve got my Feral Cat Resource page started and will get another one up later this week for Feral Bear Tanks.
I trained Cat Swipe this weekend and went to town on packs of mobs in a few instances. Wow, what a difference that made on the DPS meters. If you haven’t tried it out yet on your Feral Cat Druid yet, I highly recommend it.

Unbearably HoT goes in-depth on two AddOns that help you keep track of your HoTs, DoTs and even debuffs. I’m going to have to try the first one.
Karthis at Of Teeth and Claws explains not only why Barkskin is such a valuable tanking tool, but why the T7 4-set bonus that grants an extra 3 seconds to it makes the bonus one of the best in the current game. While you’re checking that out, don’t forget to read his Druid Tanking Overview. It never hurts to brush up on the basics.
Updated Druid Gear Lists
According to Flyv, Emmerald has updated his popular Druid Feral gear rankings and is current to 3.0.8 changes. While some would argue Rawr provides the definitive Druid gear ranking, Emmerald is great for a quick look at what’s next on the gear upgrade list.

As promised, I’ve written up a guide to completing the To Honor One’s Elders meta-Achievement for this year’s Lunar Festival which starts on Saturday. With the addition of Northrend, there are 25 more Elders in the game increasing the total to 75. One of them is in Utgarde Pinnacle, which means you’ll have to be fairly high level to complete the meta-Achievement.
I haven’t decided on next week’s OverAchiever column, but I’m thinking one of the Achievements where you must read in-game books around the world.

Big Bear Butt Blogger explores the one metagem that does work with bear armor multiplier. He also discovered a surprising fact about cloak armor. He also points his readers to another blog that has written up tanking strat guides for all the Naxx-10 bosses.

New Cat AE damage
Jacemora reports he has shot up the DPS charts in his latest raid with the new cat AE Swipe attack. Makes you wonder what his secret is for not getting disconnected with last night’s unstable servers. He also has a Feral Cat pre-Naxx Gear Guide that’s worth a look.
