The Daily Druid – Resto Gear Guides ahoy
Restoration Tree Druid, The Daily Druid, WoW, Wrath of the Lich King Add commentsAs much of the WoW Druid populace is hitting the level cap in Wrath, they’re finding that the demand for healers is quite high especially for the first 10-man raid instance in the expansion, Naxx-10. But you can’t waltz into Naxx-10 with the gear you got out of Violet Hold and questing blues.
To help you out, Phaelia from Resto4Life continues to deliver her Druid Resto (Tree) Gearing for Naxx Guide. In her latest installment, she covers back, waist, wrist, neck and finger slots. It entails a lot of Heroics for both drops and Badges, but if it gets you into 10-mans faster (and allows you to survive), then it’s well worth the time.
WoW Insider also has a comprehensive pre-Naxx Resto Gear Guide. (usual disclaimer: I write for and manage WoW Insider.)
But don’t dump your Boomkin/Cat leveling gear just yet if you are still grinding through Wrath quests for cash and Achievements. As Part Time Druid notes, soloing as Tree spec is horrendously slow.

Aha! It’s working now! Thanks for linking my site, I really appreciate it.
The Boomkin spec almost soured me entirely on the Druid class, and being Resto is leading me to log him on, and if I can’t find an instance run, quest with my Warrior instead. Ugh!

Try a Boomkin spec in an instance. With the Eclipse talent it’s fun to:
1. Moonfire
2. Insect Swarm
3. Spam Wrath until it crits and procs Eclipse
4. Spam Starfire for 6k crits
I’m on the top of the damage charts on my instance runs.
Plus the AE is fun, too. Hurricane doesn’t have a cooldown anymore, Starfall is fire and forget and your Treants can help as well. Sure, Hunters and Mages can still out-AE me on the damage meters, but I can definitely add considerable damage these days.

At first, I was quite thrilled with the big numbers and the speed at which I just flat out annihilated mobs. I just didn’t like the way it was the same every…single…time. Read my post on that, if you like.

I also have no doubt it would have been fun to play in a five man or raid setting. I was just bored with it during the leveling grind. (Though I hate calling it a grind, it was a lot of fun!)

Hello,
Nicely done, it’s great to find another site that I can view at work, I liked Resto4Life also but unfortunately it’s banded at work.
My first 60th, now 70th character in WoW 3 years ago was a feral druid. Loved every minute of it and that was before they were buffed out the wazzu. Since then I have swapped servers and level up a Holy pally, Elem Shaman, Afflic Lock, Frost Mage to 70 and my current main Blood/Unholy (Tank/Dps) DK.
I have always loved pvp and arenas and I have recently decided to level up a druid on the server I’m on now (Anetherion) PVP. My role: Heals, mainly pvp/arena heals, but I will be doing as many heroics and raids as possible.
That being said he is only 22nd level as of now and I’m researching as much pvp/healing I can with a druid. So any help or links you could provide or focus on for upcoming posts would be greatly appreciated.
Again, Thanks for the time you put into your site. Great job.
